SLate church presents

Elle Conference

Take a breath. Dive deep. Grow.

Women of all generations coming together, drawing closer to God, and empowering one another.  Women walking forward with the light of Jesus, feeling refreshed and equipped to live out their faith in everyday life. We can see it.

Dear friends,

On October 25 and 26, we invite you to join us for our first ever Elle Conference, a women's event for your sisters, your daughters, your girlfriends, your neighbours... for you!

Come expectant for a weekend full of worship, workshops, speaking and times of encouragement, honour, inspiration and community. We encourage you to join us, invite a friend and come ready to experience the love of God and the strength of Sisterhood.

It’s time to grow — to ignite our influence and own our identities found in Christ.

We look forward to experiencing this incredible weekend with you!

With love,
Pastors Emma Richardson and Victoria Boettger

Meet Your Hosts

For Pastors Emma Richardson and Victoria Boettger, what began as a desire to see the women of Slate Church gather together as a Sisterhood in 2018 quickly became so much more. Hundreds of women started to fill up the spaces and places where our Sisterhood nights took place, all with one desire: to experience the love, kindness and presence of our God.

Pastor Emma and Victoria knew that God had more for the women in our city, our province, our country—and months of prayer and dreaming have led to the launch of Elle Conference in Waterloo.

Hailing form Västerås, Sweden, Pastor Victoria Boettger and her husband Pastor Luke Boettger moved to Waterloo, Ontario to launch Slate Church in 2017.

With a background in social work and a passion to see people come to know God as a Lead Pastor at Slate Church, Ps. Victoria is a champion of women in our church and in our city! Marked by infectious kindness and inspiring generosity, Ps. Victoria is honoured to be co-hosting our first Elle Conference alongside Ps. Emma Richardson.

Born and raised in Waterloo, Ontario, Pastor Emma Richardson and her husband Pastor Brandon Richardson launched Slate Church in 2017 after years of pastoring in Waterloo.

As a Lead Pastor, mother of 3 and successful psychotherapist, Ps. Emma has a deep understanding of the many roles that women carry and is passionate about seeing them come alive in Christ. Known for her gentle-spirit and courageous faith, Ps. Emma is honoured to be co-hosting our first Elle Conference alongside Ps. Victoria Boettger.
